What do I need to do to get my website up and running?

Firstly you need to think about what you want it to say. If you already have a business brochure or advertising literature then this is the best place to start. Next you need to decide what you want your visitors to get from the website. Do you just want to tell them where you are or do you want to tell them all about your products and services, and allow them to buy things online? Finally you need to contact me to discuss your requirements.

How do I send information to you?

You can sent me information by e-mail, cloud file sharing or just stick it in the post! I can accept information in most formats, please contact me to discuss your specific requirements.

Will I need a domain name?

Yes, you will need a domain name. If you also need webspace then it is best to buy them both as a package. I can register a domain name for you, and host your website as well. Domain name registration costs from 6 per year and website hosting costs from 30 per year.

My internet service provider has given me free webspace, can I use this for my website?

You might be able to use your free webspace for your website, but we will have to check that is it suitable. WordPress, for example, needs webspace with database capabilities. Also many internet service providers only provide free webspace for personal use, and they do not allow selling or advertising.

Can I accept credit cards on my website?

Yes, there are a number of ways that you can accept credit cards on your website, please contact me to discuss your specific requirements.
